Off Campus Access of E-Journals

Undertaking formThe Faculty Members and Students of SLIET have the privilege of accessing the e-journals and other scholarly e-resources subscribed under the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) Scheme of the Government of India. To facilitate access to these resources beyond the Institute campus, the Central Library, SLIET, in association with the Indian Access Management Federation (INFED), has initiated an Off-Campus Access Facility using Shibboleth, an open-source access management software.

The facility enables Faculty Members and Postgraduate (PG) Students/Research Scholars of SLIET to access the subscribed e-resources/e-journals remotely from outside the Institute campus using their authorized login credentials. The login credential can be obtained

Undertaking for Off-Campus Access to E-Resources

(For Faculty Members and PG/Ph.D. Students/Research Scholars only)

  1. Download the  Undertaking form for Off Camus Access. 
  2. PG/Ph.D. Students/Research Scholars are required to get the undertaking form duly signed by their supervisor. Faculty Members are required to get the form signed by the concerned Head of the Department (HoD).
  3. Fill in the undertaking/request form available on the SLIET website. Users must provide their official @sliet.ac.in email ID only in the email field while submitting the request.
  4. The applicant must sign the Terms and Conditions mentioned in the undertaking form and obtain the required recommendation/signature of the Supervisor/Head of the Department, as applicable.
  5. The duly completed and recommended undertaking form may be submitted to Assistant Librarian for further processing.
  6. After verification and activation of the facility, the user will receive an email containing the User ID and Password for accessing the subscribed e-resources remotely. Users are required to change the password after their first login.
  7. Users are advised to strictly comply with the terms and conditions governing the use of subscribed e-resources. The login credentials are personal and must not be shared with any other person.

Accessing E-Resources Off Campus: After your Off-Campus Access account has been activated, you can access the e-journals and other subscribed e-resources from outside the SLIET campus through the SLIET Identity Provider (Shibboleth) portal:
